First Baptist Church is a WELL Church

So...what's a WELL Church?

We envision First Baptist Church as a fellowship of believers seeking to grow in know the Lord Jesus with all of our hearts, souls and minds, and desiring to trust in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

We envision carrying our this desire by:

W Having authentic worship, where we praise God as being the Sovereign and Holy God, and receive His wonderful and amazing grace.
E

Being a fellowship that encourages intentional evangelism, where we desire and actively equip the fellowship to share and carry out the purpose in which God created us, which is to be a spiritual extension of His grace and love to a lost and hurting world

L

Having a heart that loves others with a purpose and that is to love others as Christ loves us with an unconditional love.  We further envision that the fellowship show this love by remembering one another in prayer, aiding one another in sickness and distress, cultivating Christian sympathy in feeling and Christian courtesy in speech, and being slow to take

offense, always ready for reconciliation.

L

Encouraging every person in the fellowship of believers to have a lifestyle of learning with consistency.  Every believer needs to mature in their walk with Christ to know Him better every day and to grow and abide in Him so that the fruit of the Spirit might be produced through our lives daily.  This comes as we encourage each other to have a personal and corporate time with God.

We will not Neglect the House of the Lord. Nehemiah 10:39
In order to carry out my responsibilities to my church:

1. I will protect the unity of my church...

  • by acting in love toward other members

  • by refusing to gossip.

  • by trusting the leadership

2. I will support the testimony of my church...

  • by attending faithfully.
  • by living a Godly life.
  • by giving regularly.

3. I will serve the ministry of my church...

  • by discovering my gifts and talents.
  • by being equipped to serve.
  • by developing a servant's heart.

4. I will share the responsibility of my church...

  • by praying for its growth
  • by inviting the unchurched to attend.
  • by warmly welcoming those who visit.
