Participation in the Family Life Center is open to all First Baptist
Church members and their families who are enrolled in church or
Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Dothan. Certain
restrictions regarding children (12 years old and below) and youth
(13–17 years old) are described below. The FLC is reserved for
members who have paid annual dues and their guests.
• Affiliate Members are those who are legitimate church
prospects and have been invited to use the facility by a minister of
First Baptist Church of Dothan. First Baptist members may also
sponsor an individual for membership. For this type of membership, a
written recommendation from the sponsoring church member must be
sent to the Director of Recreational Ministries for approval.
• Columbia Baptist Association (CBA) Members are also eligible
for membership. CBA members and their families may join as long as
they are an active full-time minister. Students enrolled at the
Baptist College of Florida in Graceville may join under this
affiliation.
• Children: Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a
parent or legal guardian. Underage children must remain with their
parent at all times while in the FLC, except when participating in
special scheduled programs where supervision is provided by other
adults. The FLC should not be used as a child care facility. The
weight room, racquetball courts, and track are off limits to
children 12 and under.
• Youth: Youth (ages 13–17) may use the FLC during normal
operating hours. Youth ages 13–15 must be accompanied by a parent or
legal guardian while in the weight room.
• Guests: All FLC members are urged to bring guests. Guests are
defined as individuals who are not enrolled in the FLC but are
hosted by a FLC member. All guests will be charged a $1.00 guest fee
upon entering the facility. This fee may be paid by the individual
guest or by the sponsoring members. Guests that are underage (12 and
below) must be accompanied by their responsible adult at all
times.
