We, as a fellowship of believers,
believe that a commitment to the Great
Commandment and the Great Commission is
necessary for the growth of a great
church. Believing this, we commit
ourselves, individually and corporately,
to work to follow these two essential
imperatives.
We fully
affirm our commitment to the Great
Commandment: "Love the Lord your God
with all your heart and will all your
soul and with all your mind. This
is the first and greatest commandment.:
We are further committed to the second
great commandment: "Love your neighbor
as yourself."
Matthew 22:37-39
Because
we are committed to the two Great
Commandments, we are fully committed to
Christ's Great Commission:
"Therefore, go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey
everything I have commanded you.
And surly I am with you always, to the
very end of the age."
Matthew 28:19-20
Our
commitment to the Great Commission
follows Christ's directive to His
disciples: "But you will receive
power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;
and you will be My witnesses in
Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth." Because
of Christ's command, we are committed to
be His witnesses from downtown Dothan to
the ends of the earth."
Acts 1:8
We will
strive to fulfill Christ's commands by
personally telling others what we
believe about the essentials of our
faith and by providing the financial and
prayer support for others to fulfill
Christ's command form downtown Dothan to
the ends of the earth.
