A Welcome from our Pastor:

Let me welcome you to the First Baptist Church of Dothan website. You will find many things that will help answer your questions. If you cannot find the answers please give us call and we will help you in any way possible.

Now Let me tell you, 'in a nutshell', about First Baptist!

  • Our Heart is to love the Lord with all our hearts, soul and mind and to love others.

  • Our Teaching is from the Word of God.

  • It is our book from which we live.

  • Our Worship is blended and meaningful. We sing as the scripture states hymns, psalms and spiritual songs. We preach from the Word and we sing with our hearts.

  • Our Mission is the World. Our starting place is downtown Dothan moving to all parts of the world. We have a Community Ministry program that ministers to those around us. We also send many through our Mission programs to various parts of the world to tell people how to come into a saving grace of Jesus.

  • Our Church family is from all walks of life. We are a people of different races, colors and economic backgrounds. All brought together by the grace of God and our love for Jesus.

  • Our Church is not perfect nor made up of perfect people. We are grace people who desire to walk with God together.

Maybe these things have given you an idea about First Baptist. There is more to know, so take your time as you journey through our website.

Once again I welcome you to the ministry of the Lord through the Body of First Baptist.
